I want a 700+ rwhp street car...yeah i know thats a rediculous amount of hp for a street car but for some reason the idea of a stripped out drag car/track car just doesnt suit me...i love cruising around in my car and currently own an 02 gt but i was wondering what would be more wise...sell my car and buy an 03/04 cobra(favorite mustang of all time) or swap my engine out eventually for a 4v 5.4l and supercharge it...and yeah i want the engine to be supercharged not turbod.....kenne bell or Whipple. Dont have the money necessarily right now for either but was just dreaming

It would probably be more cost effective to sell the car and buy a cobra if it's not your DD. However, I am in the same predicament as you. I am going the hard/ more costly route.

yeah as of now my car is my daily driver but once i do this swap/sell i will have a different daily driver

You can get a longblock that will hold that power, a new transmission, beefed up axles and tuning for way less then the current 25k+ price of a cobra.

Well, u can shop various mustang sites and try to buy a used 03-04 cobra LB, computer and such. A pre built forged LB will set u back 6-7K for sure, whipple kit will be about 4-5K (KB will be higher), or which ever type of boost u decide on will cost more than 5K easily. For 700rwhp, you will need a better fuel system, and other supporting mods. Man to make 700rw on a reliable DD could cost you 20K or more to do it from scratch. I would shop around for a clean 03-04 cobra for about 25K. Heck, u might even find a nice cobra already modded for under 30K running 600+rwhp. Its not cheap to make big power, but once u do its fun as heck!!!

^ Ture to that. Or what i would/should do is buy a 03-04 cobra, sell the gt, and use the money from the gt to buy a twin turbo kit. That will get you there..... I have read about cobras running in the 600- 800 hp range with no problems on a turbo kit (HP Turbo), but don't know if that is BS.
