Seats out of a 99-04 into a 1996

Will the seats from a 99-04 mustang fit in a 1996 convertible? My leather is worn out and I want to replace it with some nicer leather.

I believe all 94-04 seats are interchangable

Are the power switches different? I know the tracks and where it bolts up to is the same, just wondering about the switch.It can be done, I've seen it.

That is a good question about the power function, I would like to know myself. I welded the gears that let you recline the drivers seat because I broke them ( hitting the NOS really makes you fly back in your seat and I guess my shot was too much). Ok, really I was reaching for my wallet in the drive through and leaned back too hard obviously...one too many drive throughs I guess.

i bought a manual track out of a 97, and the tracks bolt up fine...but the seat belt is attached directly to the track on 99-04s, but is not attached in the same wayon the earlier ones i assume. i had to do some cutting and pasting to make it work
