It's alright to give out tech advice, just make sure you know what you're saying, and not calling out a bunch of other people who are right.
no those are not PI HEADS Yes, they are.
PI HEADS came only on 99 and early 2000 mustangs and on some saleens and roush's No.
And cams dont make heads "PI" Its the heads that are "PI" nothing else Heads are classified as PI, as are camshafts from 99-04
Also u can use any cams for that head the only thing ull probably have to change is the valve springs You can go from stock cams in a 96-98 to PI cams w/o a valve spring swap.

i hope is playing an april fools joke because no one can be that stupid... PI motors are99-04
just to make sure, i thought that the 99-01 engines have the same bolt patterns as our npi's 11bolt. am i right, or someone clear me up

96-98 npi's are romeo style blocks so they have the 11bolt valve cover and smaller holes for the timing case cover to bolt to the head, and have 3 bolts holding the passenger side timing chain guide in place. the 99-mid 01 have the windsor style block with the 13/14 bolt valve cover setup with bigger timing case bolts and 2 bolts holding the chain guide in place. and the late 01-04 4.6's are romeo blocks just like the 96-98 npis with 11bolt valve covers. Hope that clears things up 97modifiedmustanggt. And yes laser red is fastest of all colors

Technically, doing a pi swap gives the advantage to the 96-98 mustangs. Reason being, the pistons are slightly different, resulting in higher compression. I'd rather have a 99-04 though, they look better. hehe

that's an awfully good question..
only reason I have to give is because ford likes to make 'at home mechanics' want to rip off their *****..
i woudl know, i just went through a head replacement, my ***** are barely still attached
