Umm when i start up in the morning its pretty loud. My neighbors are really closeand theyve never said anything about it though. Im able to baby it if i want to be quiet. Like someone said before me, when i go through a tunnel I always down shift to hear myself. Its really beastly sounding. I get more compliments on the sound of my car then the looks hehe.If you have high gears though, it can get annoying on the highway at speeds of70+ cruising. But i def would never switch my car for anything else.

to emphasize the point above..i just got back in and decided to romp it going up one of the floors of the parking garage and ended up setting off three car alarms..i think they are still beeping...goes to show that its loud when you want.....and that i should gun it on the straight aways in the garage more

very cool dude i've set off alarms before starting it up in the parking lot at the movies. I like the idea of the x pipe is it "mo-betta" to add some headers to it as well? That make it even louder?

if i were you i'd get a catalytic pro-chamber or mac also just came out with a catted h pipe for stock headers

one more question. Off road x pipe... i know I need the extenders for my O2 but will this pass vehicle inspection or make any lights come on in my dash?

your check engine light will come on
i wouldn't worry about the o2 sensor extensions...i just put mine in and taped the wires together
probably wont pass emmisions
get a tune or MIL eliminators to fix teh check engine light

with an x or h pipe that is catted it will only have two cats where our stock pipe has 4. Will catted still not pass inspection and make a light come on in my dash?

It will probably not make your CEL come on...but you never know for sure.Ford tends to "over-cat" thier vehicles from the factory. On my v6 Ranger I had 4 cats on a single pipe exaust. I went down to 1 highflow cat and had not CEL.
