Default shifter boot not secure...

Was wondering if theres any type of glue or something else I can do to secure my shifter boot. I replaced the stock leather one with the simulated carbon fiber boot like in the 10th anni.'s. But the great minds at ford devised a way so once u take off the old one theres no way to secure the new one.

Any help is appreciated.

You might want to try double sided sticky tape or velcro strips...

sticky tape didnt really work. I may just take it to the dealer and have them try something.
