Default fox body shocks/struts on new edge?

So I've been in the market for shocks/struts on my 99 GT vert. I'm looking at the Tokico Blues since my mustang is onlya DD, but I'mlowered about 2". I've been reading that fox body shocks/struts on lowered new edges can work well, but I'm not sure what the advantages are? Can someone give me some info on them, and if fox body shocks/struts are the best choice for me which brand would you recommend? Thanks - Chris

The way I understand it is that fox body shocks are the same thing as the ones designed for the new edge just a little shorter, so they are good to use on lowered stangs.

Since your dropped 2" I would go with the Fox struts/shocks. I went with year specific ones because I'll only get a 1-1.25" drop out of my C springs.

The above is all correct. I went with Fox body shocks and struts and when I took the stockers off, I compared them to the Strange Engineering ones that I bought. The fox body ones when compressed, are shorter than the stock ones, meaning that if you had new edge ones in there, they would potentially bottom out before the fox body ones would. I would think that the bumpers on the frame above the axles would hit before the shocks would bottom out anyways. I just bought the fox ones because I found a used set online. I'm at 4x4 height still, and the foxes work great. Goodluck!

I'm dropped 2" and I'm using fox body KYB GR-2's all around.
