If the tubing is the same size, quality welds, and decent material, there shouldn't be much of a difference. Most of the difference comes with what they are coated with (or not coated with)
just installed my pypes catted x and catback and i like the sound. stainless all the way around. considering i didn't hear it before i purchased, i'm very pleased. i mean, it's a quality product (not quite sure about the headers, didn't purchase them). although, you could just be another one of them "grass is always greener, glass half empty" kinda guys.
na they got drop shiped from the manufacturer. so i should have them LATe this week early next week. ill kepp yall updated, and take pics of the welds and what not.
Ok so I just installed the headers today. I was not please with the fit at all. On the passenger side the header touches the starter and the floor board. It could just be from the engine sitting crooked from removing the k member. I havent started it yet to seat the motor mounts to the new k member yet. On the driver side one of the welds rubs aganist the steering shaft. I had to take the steering shaft out and grind it smooth because there was no way i could dent the pipe on the car and I wasnt about to take the header back off. Also the mid pipe I was going to use wont fit so I just ordered a newpypes shorty mid pipe. I still have the A-arms and coil overs to install. We'll see how that goes. I wont ever do this again. EVER
