Default Suspension?

When buying a lowering kit with springs is that all you really need? Changing out springs will lower my car with out having to get new shocks or anything else?

All you have to do is swap springs as long as you dont go extreme. If you just go with something like the a 1.75" drop all the way around, you would be fine. It will wear everything else a bit faster but not enough for much concern

It is not going to be a very comfortable ride if you were to lower it 1.5" or more with the stock shock/strut combo.

might as well do em, shocks n struts at the same time as your springs...you may want caster camber plates too. Do it right the 1st time

what about just shocks? Will be a big difference than stock shocks and lowering springs but still not as good as aftermarket shocks and struts?

I would NOT just get springs. It will be a very rough ride on shocks and struts. What happens is when then lowering springs are put in the stock shocks and struts become compressed. Therefore, they are not truly providing a smooth ride. Itll be bumpy like all those kids who put suspension in the civic hatchbacks. Do truly lower the car and sustain a nice "tight" ride do the shocks/struts as well. Im a big fan of Bilstein/H&R setup myself. I had that setup on both of my BMW's and am doing the same install in the Mustang I just got. You will NOT be disappointed by doing it properly the first time as others have said previously in the post.
