I'll try that and see if that fixes it.

Try swapping your COP's. I've been having problems with mine, especially when it's wet out.[&:] I even bought a brand new set of Granatelli's 2 weeks ago, and one went bad already, so I bought some ACCEL's this time. Water gets into my #4 spark plug hole and gets that coil damp or something and screws it up. RTV this time!!!!

It sounds like you have a bigger problem than just COPs going bad.. Do you not have splash guards on your car??

No I dont have any splash guards. Do you mean near under the engine in the engine bay coming from the front bumper.

Well, originally I was referring to meechuon, but it's not a bad idea to have the factory splash guards in place, since it will prevent additional spray to come up over the engine..

Now that you have a volt meter, check the voltage at the alternator, as undecided.steve had mentioned... This is rule out the alternator (or prove that's it.) Do your other accessories work at all?? If you turn them all on, does the car die out, or get worse??

Was the car doing this before the O2/Plug swap?? What about fuel filter?? Does the sputter go away when you are driving the car, does it stay the same, or get worse??

No it wasnt doing this before the O2 swap. The sputter does go away when driving normally. The fuel filter is new. but its weird its worse in cold startup in the morning. later in the day at park it idles fine for awhile bet then comes back goes away then comes back. then some days its doesn't happen at all.

Yeah, I've got splash guards. It's just my shaker hood must let water in and the runs down the COP cover and goes right into the hole where the wires that control the COP's goes in. I RTV'd it this time so there's no chance of anymore water getting into the COP's

Hmmm, interesting.. Do you still have your old O2 sensor around?? Have you checked the harness to see if maybe it came loose?? If you have your old O2 kicking around, try swapping it back in to see if makes a difference.. It may not, and it could be coincidental that they started around the same time... O2's won't normally affect cold starts though, since the signal is "ignored," on start up...

The reason I changed my O2 in the first place was because I got a code of a bad O2. once I changed it the code went away.

Well, I'd say start by checking your alternator, and make sure output voltage is on par (not exactly sure what it is, but I know it's listed around here).. Then, see if you can check CPS voltage/continuity.. Especially if you can get it when it's running fine, versus when it's sputtering.. If all of that is good, then we can check other things like fuel pressure at the rail, and maybe even checking MAF readings....
