Brake question!!!
Okay so last year a bought a 2003 Mustang GT.
Whenever I press the brake pedal down all the way there is a SIGNIFICANT drop in the RPMs of the engine. It also behaves the same way when it is in park.
I don't know if this is some kind of safetey feature possibly to allow the car to slow down more quickly by by also dropping the torque produced by the engine? Is this an issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Brake question!!!
the rpms will vary somewhat because of the hydroboost brake assist, it uses the power steering pump instead of a vacuum booster. when you hit the brakes hard it puts extra load on the engine. my 03 does the same thing its normal
