ANOTHER TOB WTF
ok..so what would cause my car to chew up TOB's? doesnt make sense..on the stock clutch the stock tob failed, so i said ok ill do a clutch..did a clutch (spec stage one) instaled the new TOB and it was fine..for a while, the tob went to **** within 3 months..so..mind you now i had longtubes on the car so i had to remove the driverside longtube droped the tranny and this time i replaced with a ford TOB cus i heard the spec ones were garbage anyway..and its been good for a month or two and now just on the way home i hear an ever so faint chirp..parked in the driveway open the door and i hear an intermitant chirp..so this is tob number 3..what makes your car chew them up??? WHY??

RE: ANOTHER TOB WTF
do you rest your foot on the clutch pedal?
that will kill a tob ,
other than that maybe adjusted so there is constant pressure on the tob will do the same
usually tob's will last 2-1 for clutches

+1 on resting the foot on the pedal. It's a bad habit of mine and replacing the TOB is getting expensive for labor since I don't have my own lift.
I noticed that arm that connects to my cable is loose as fugg and I don't know if thats contributing.

the bottom of this link might help, it shows how a guy was able to apply constant pressure with a little trip to the hardware store
