Default O sh*t forgot to shift

i was racing a camero ssand i was shifting thro the gears but never got outta 4 because i didnt want to let up, i had him. i dont know whati got the speed or rpms up to. i was just watching the roadand the nose of the camero.i think i got into redline because we were flying. but it wasn't very long probably 1/2 mile that we were getting on it.i wasnt watching my rpms,i feel dumb, but i just got caught up in it all and f*cking had him and i was pulling on him the whole way. did i hurt my engine? i just put castrol high mileage oil in her (80.000 miles on it) and will put in amsoil next. (sooner then i need to) high milage was to freshen up seals and things. is she ok? still sounds great, but im worried about it.

they've got a rev limiter anyway, if it didn't start cutting out then you never hit it and it'll be fine even if you do bounce off it a few times.

I would worry about it. If you started hearing some niose from the engine that would be a different story.
