Default Engine Rebuild Progress (pics)

Armed with some tools, and the haynes mustang guide. [sm=bangbang.gif]

Three days ago I started to remove my engine from my 99 GT. Last summer i broke something in the engine causing it to knock. Today i finally got it out of my car and onto the stand. I must say i was surprised that i did this and only took couple days, i am doing this by myself.

Today when i seperated the engine from the transmission i had a surprise for me. I see the clutch is purple, maybe thats the stock clutch but i doubt it. So who had the car before me had a aftermarket clutch put in!
But i dont know who makes it? can anyone tell who might of made this clutch?

So now its out im gonna start ripping it apart and see what im going to replace. If my block is still in good condition then im going to get forged pistons and rods and then stage 2 blower cams. (im building for a kenne bell super charger, 450 to 500 horse is my goal) Im also gonna get long tube headers. If my block is shot then im gonna get the MMR 600.

Since my engine is out, does anyone recommend i do anything to it? Im gonna get all the parts that i stated above but is there anything i should do or think about doing while its out of the car? thanks guys ill keep ya posted with pics.

It only took two days, which i was surprised at that cause i have never done anything this big before. and it was only me, that haynes manual really did pay off. It would of cost a fortune to have someone do this work for me. What are you pulling it for?

I think Fidanza madea purple clutch a few years ago. While the engine is out, slap some cobra heads on that thing and go 4v. I'm biased though. I would also detail the engine bay and look for any spots that might need paint or something. Also, now would be a good time to put in a tubular K member.
