You must have missed the memo, T45's suck. Sounds like your synchros are getting close to walking out on you. Reving it to match up the rpm range a little better will help, but a shifter will not. Start saving for a trans rebuild.

You must have missed the year of his car. 02's don't have a T-45. My T-45 has 107,000 miles (original) and it's not babied. 3650's are the ones that have syncro problems. There is a TSB on the 3650's.

i know that part IS true b/c i had to get my syncros replaced in mine around 40k miles. 3rd gear started grinding no matter what.

thank god for extended warranties, and for the TSB. i printed it out and brought it with me when i took it in! they fixed her right up!
