Default About to order manifold.. any suggestions?

The stang has been in my shop for over a month now due to a crack in the intake manifold. Just bought a house and driving my gf's truck so it's no big deal atm being without the stang. I'm about to order a ton of stuff for it and hopefully have it going in the next month or so. I'll have roush body kit on the way and a cobra r hood along with a few other goodies for the exterior. I also got a 31 spline dif. and axels with 4:30 gears, upper and lower control arms and springs comming soon as well. yay.. The only thing im kinda left in limbo over is what manifold to go with. I was set on the p-51 but now im really leaning twords the 4.6 efi victor jr. I know the victor jr manifold is good for up to 7k rpms which is really high. I have read on a few websites claiming the stock manifold starts to poop out on flow at 5500 rpm. I don't know if going with a aftermarket manifold would keep my max power at 6300 rpms or bump it up to 6500 or 6600 due to a increase in flow. Thats kinda were i need some info..[&:] If it did bump my peak power a little bit higher in rpms i can see the victor jr. helping out more then hurting performance. Anyways sorry for the long post, anyone with some pointers on this would be a big help.

your dyno numbers are really impressive, I'd stick with what you know works (the stocker) because I don't see how you could better your number but like you said you may be able to shift the power up some. Why are you going with 4.30's? I rarely say that a car has too much gear but I think if you plan on spraying anything around a 100 shot that may be too much gear... IMO. All in all it sounds like it's is/ going to be a bad azz car.

Thanks dude I just really want to run a metal intake because my plastic one is cracked and i would really feel alot better when spraying. As far as gears go i may just go 4:10's..

I have basically your same set up made 322rwhp w/ a P-51 I am happy with, running a 150 dry shot.

The victor Jr./ or P51 will totally complimant your stage II heads and XE270AH cams. Even though your dyno numbers are looking good, you can only gain with a intake upgrade for air flow purposes. I wouldn't stick with a stock intake with your set up at this point, not that I think your considering it anyway.

to me, i dont feel that there is an aftermarket intake worth the money unless your pushing high hp numbers. I can't justify spending $700 + for a manifold and maybe seeing 10-15rwhp, with loss of torque in the lower rpm range.

it seams like better insurance to me to have a metal intake if you run nitrous alot.

like i said yes in high hp applications. I have friends that are huge into nitrous and pushing in the 400-450rwhp range on 100 shots and still have yet to see that little plastic manifold let them down.
