*L*..200 mph ..never
the thing about gear is you want to stay in the optium rpm band.bad thing is use of gears such as first

3.36 x 4.10 = 13.776
3.36 x 3.73 = 12.533
3.36 x 3.55 = 11.93

world class
2.95 x 4.10 = 12.095
2.95 x 3.73 = 11.00
2.95 x 3.55 = 10.473

ok the first table is most 'stangs you what a mitiplier in the 12's to have good use of first and to help with traction so 4:10 look a bit much and you want to start out in 2nd and feather the clutch at every stop light for about no gain..this become more of a problem with super chargers as you would just blow up the tires and possible on rev the S/C all bad thing
that's why I like to know gearing for a build up and if a gears change is made I'll do a cam change or just advance or retarded it as need<edited><editID>vfast</editID><editDate>37918.4279976852</editDate></edited>

I do drive on the highway sometimes, but a friend told me that the 4.10's would drastically lower my max speed. I was just curious how much effect it would have. Obviously i am not pushing max speed often anyways so lowering it shouldn't hurt me at all anyways</P>

Reread my last post please</P>

&amp; hitting 200mph is something I do not expect the Mustang to hit, but the way it's is geared STOCK is too high. 3.27's won't let the car wind out/hit the limiter/etc. in 5th. I said "200mph (in theory)." That means if you put a LAMBORGINI motor in a Stang it'll hit 200mph WITH the stock gearing.</P>

4.30s, 4.56...now let talk loosing some top end</P><edited><editID>GSXRIntensity</editID><editDate>37921.0317708333</editDate></edited>
