if you remember correctly i was joking with cumstang and he threw it out of tangent by attacking my car instead of respecting it. I have the right to defend myself and not let someone spread information that is false. I would have gone on with the debate if that did not happen.

admitting you're a idiot is always a good start

"some idiot decided to take it out of porportion and attack me." Scholarly quote of the day. I actually decided to take it out of proportion, but then again how would I know, I am just an idiot.
Using proper grammar when trying to insult someone would be an even better start for you.

Next time you decide to come into a thread like this to throw it off on a tangent, don't bother.

What you seem to be forgetting is that YOU threw this comment out in a thread about 4.6 vs LS1/LT1:

i think the ford duratec 2.5L in the svt contour is a much better engine.
Which is completely useless. That in itself was enough to get people to tell you to shut up. You wouldn't have had to defend anything had you just stuck to the topic and kept your useless opinion out of it.

ok if you guys have a sense of humor, right off the bat you should know the 2.5L is NO competition to the 4.6L, Ls1/Lt1 motors, hence the faces that was made. I did not bash on or insult anyone to begin with. So for me to respond is to stop the mis-information that he is spreading, i.e "the car is a 4 banger". Anyways, back to the 4.6L and Ls1/LT1 debate, its been way off topic for too long.

Well I own both, have had 9 5.0 LX coupes in the past and used to run a rebuild shop for the T-5"s I am very experienced in the 5.0 and 4.6. So if you want to go fast and you like both cars as I do, it boils down to budget. I Have raced one 459rwhp Cobra 3 times and won. So you have to take in to consideration how much you want to spend. I have TOTAL in my car with heads and the cam and intake, full exhaust everything $3,500. It will pull 10's with good bite at $3500. Thats impossible with anything but the 03 Cobra but then you have to pay the money for that to begin with. My brother just got a 98 Z28 LS1 on his way to 11's and paid $6200. I paid $17,000 for my SS with 23k on it 3 yrs ago, now paid for. So really both cars are awesome but the LS1 is simply a stronger engine. Cobra pull 365 RWHP stock so yea they are quicker but not cheap AT ALL, I pulled 312 stock. So $3500 got me 449 RWHP. Beautiful lopey idle too. Its up to you guys, but Id go with an LS1/LS2/LS6/LS7 series. I can also still add a S/C and have a 200 shot sitting in my garage. Havent needed it yet, even with modded Cobras, BUT someone is always faster. I put on a CAI on my 01 GT and really couldnt even tell. I cant imagine how much I would have to spend to get that GT to run EVEN with my brothers 98 Z28, I dont think its even possible w/o a S/C. Much less my car. Best of luck.

The budget I listed includes the small things too. Motor mounts, tranny mount , plug wires synthetic fluids all the little crap. ALL for about $3,500. The GT has now been beaten by the 05 SRT-4, I did have her until 70ish. Never happen with the LS1. All the SRT-4 had was bov and cold air, quick *** car though! Also to settle this, you guys who have never driven an LS1 go to a used lot and beat on it and post your thoughts for everyone.

I have never driven an LS1, but have ridden in 00 corvette. It was fast, but considering the guy paid 35 grand for the car, it seems like a waste. I have driven two LT1s, and they were both dogs. One was a 94 Trans Am, and the other was a 96 Z28. Don't know if I just got the bad bunch or what.
