+1 on the nittos, they should still be hooking fairly well at your power level. What PSI do you have in the rears at the track?

You should not be spinning that hard in 2nd gear, even on bone stock suspension, withyour power level and those tires.

Holy ****.

Run them between 18-25 psi, and try slipping the launch from 3-4500 rpms.

315 nittos i found work the best at 20-25psi. i actually tried lower psi and i noticed the centers started droping out of it.

when i went to the track i ran a best 60' time of 2.1 on worn out wanli street tires(245/45/17) with no mods other than a flomaster cat-back. but when i launched, i would take off from idle to try to keep from spinning. and the car averaged 26 mpg after driving from columbia mo, making 13 passes and then filled up .this was at kcir. not my fastest run here is a vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvkcf...p;feature=user

i run them at 25 for normal street use, i found the center was wearing more than the out sides so i dropped it from 30 to 24-26psi

you need to get those nittos hot and learn to adapt to the gears.

I ran (1/8th) a 9.3 with just an Xpipe, on 245 street tires. I added 4.10s and ran 9.5's to 9.7s and i was pissed. (60 foots got much worse too)

Added ET Drags and now i run 8.66
