Default 5.4???

A friend of mine was wanting to put a MMR 5.4 shortblock in his 97 gt. What all will he need to get this done? So far his list is...
MMR 5.4 shortblock with oil pump, head studs, mainstuds, head gasket, windage tray. Patriot stage 2 heads, comp stage 2 cams, intake adapter, intake (not sure on name brand), moroso oil-pan, this is all I can remember him saying. What else will he need to complete?
Thanks

He will need to run shorties (or stock manifolds) and he will need to widen his mid pipe.

4v heads, 2v heads on a 5.4 is a huge waste of time.

I am doing a 2v 5.4 just because it was a cheap engine and I pretty much used it has a 4.6 replacement.

I wouldn't really spend the money that you're buddy is thinking about on a 2v. I wouldn't really spend that kinda money on a 4.6 2v either.

If you're talking about that kind of project you might as well just do it has a 4v. You can get the same style adapter plates and use a o1 cobra intake on navigator heads.

well if he'sshould go 4v a friend of mine just put an aluminator in his 99 cobra and is selling the factory motor which has something broke in the block...could he just buy it and get the 5.4 block off of MMR and the intake adapter and on the 4v will he need to change out the computer and wiring harness?

He should be able to tune the stock computer because I'm pretty sure those years didn't use the imrc plates.
