Default heads swap or a supercharger or...

I have a 97 Gt with bbk 70mm t body, cold air intake and no muffler on it.

i plan on putting probably long tube headers and x pipe in a near future.after that,it is either a pi heads and intake swap or puting a supercharger.
or have a pro port my stock heads and change my plenum.

wich one would you go for?

Best thing to do is wait till you have the money to do all three of the above... except dont port the stock heads, port the PI's. Do the PI swap and that will bump you up to about a 10.1 compression ratio but you will still be able to hold 8 lbs of boost because S/C'd Mach 1s do it all day. If you ported the PI heads and put them on with the intake and a S/C, I bet you will see numbers close to 450-500 at the wheels.

heh.. yeah. i told acer just to get a blower and told me it'd be a waste to get that without the PI swap to help the engine breathe better.

do the PI swap and the porting to the PI head's... it will be a huge difference in power... then later on, throw the s/c on there.

i have heard that if you put an S/C,dont waist your money on porting since the s/c will force the mixture in anyway...

If I were you I would look into the ford performance parts supercharger setup. It replaces your restrictive intake manifold, and according to MM&FF it should make around 400 at the crank (I don't think they ran mufflers or any accessories though). Its only like 2500 bucks, so you could port and polish your heads (they will out flow stock PI heads if ported and polished) with the cash you would have spent on a regular 4000 dollar blower.

if you are talking about this kit:
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=5066

yes it is around 2500$.
but you also need this installation kit:
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=5036

wich cost 1350$
so a big total of 3800$ wich is not a deal at all for 55hp.
