Default do i need bumpsteer??????

i am doing lowering springs shocks and struts and then bumpsteer on my car...do i need to get a bumpsteer for my rear IRS suspension...i heard of it but wasnt sure if its something that should be done

second can anyone give me a link or some info on tear down and rebuild with this...i have done suspensions on non irs stangs before but never messed with this before....any tips or pointers would be helpful

Doing IRS in the rear is similar as to doing the fronts, but there are a few differences.. I don't have any pictorials for you, but just take your time, and label your hardware to keep track of it... I'm telling you, once you get it in the air, you'll see what I mean... You won't have to deal with tie-rods or ball joints, so that's a plus, but make sure you torque everything correctly once the weight of the car is loaded on the suspension to get proper suspension alignment..

well that makes me feel better bout doing it...do you kno if i need to get bumpsteer for the rear end...we never did on the gt's but i didnt kno if IRS made a difference

I wasn't even aware of a bumpsteer kit for IRS equipped cars; doesn't mean they don't have it.. Most IRS cars use the suspension to invoke additional toe-in/out during load-down, and also induce more camber.. I'm not sure how the rear set up would work, since the fronts use the outer tie-rods to counter the affects of bumpsteer..
