got a 4.6L 2002 gt convertible with the following mods:

4 inch flow masters

25 hp chip

mac cold air induction

want to know which would be better for my 4.6 for rear end 3.73 or 4.10 and what are the pros and cons of each, i've heard its hard to get whine out of them once installed any truth and tricks to stop this.

also thinking of turbo or supercharging it, any help on brands nad pros and cons would be appreciated. and is the intercooler worth the extra bucks

also which rear end is going to be best if i do turbo or supercharge it

If youre going the supercharger or turbo route, theres really no need for gear change. 3.27 and 3.55 is typically the ideal gear for s/c's and turbo especially if you're leaning toward a roots or twin screw type of s/c. Some guys run 4.10 with centrifugal s/c since the dont start making serious boost till the upper RPM range but still requires some skillfull driving. Turbo if you can afford it will probably yeild the best results. As far as superchargers IMO Kenne Bell is making some nice power. The boost is instant at WOT and continues to make power through 6,000RPM.

A basic turbo kit using a T-66 will run you around 6K. You can get the new Kenne Bell twin screw s/c with intercooler for $3800 and make the same power. I'm trying to go the Kenne Bell way but I want to do some internal work for better reliability.

I think you mean $3800 non-intercooled. Mine was $3599 non intercooled and the intercooler is $1100 more.
