im not sure whyhe would

1. sand blast them (is this some process i was unaware of?)

2. sell them so damn cheap.

i smell bs. if they were making such sick power he would have no reason to take them off for other ones so i doubt theyre making the power he claims. how high mileage do they have? whys he wanna sell em?

Stock 98 heads blow nuts, even ported they don't put out what stock 99+ heads do. Sand blasting is the same thing as bead or media blasting, just using sand (poor boy's bead blaster). Ported non PI heads = about 15 hp increase over stock 98 heads. The guys BSing you, he probably upgraded to PI heads

You are bidding on a set of Ford 4.6 V8 SOHC Aluminum Heads that have been sand blasted, ported and bench flow tested. The cast code on the heads is RF-F5AE 6090-B22A. I believe that means they are 98 to 01 im not sure however they did set in our garage for 2 years from today, but we bought them brand new. Im leaving the valves and springs in them as well as the spark plugs cause I dont need them. I have about $1300 invested in these heads so who ever gets them is gonna be way happy. I had them match ported and sand blasted about 3 months ago but now im gonna build a chevy for me and another for my wife so I dont need ford stuff laying around this year. These heads have about 2900 miles on them. These heads look brand new, feel brand new, clean as heck. I got 79 extra horsepower on the dyno from these heads on my mustang gt. I hope that the lucky person who buys these heads gets the same results because I was tickled to death to get that kinda horse power on on these cool daddys. If any question email me. Buyer to pay shipping and take note that I like in kentucky both heads together weigh in at roughly 55 lbs as I weighed them on the bathrooom scale. ( not including packing material ) Happy bidding and Good Luck!
there is the whole description from the seller himself

Hey bud, don't bother. '96-'98 head design is just crappy, and no matter how much you port them, they will never flow as well as PI heads. He probably knows he's full of s**t, and if that's so he's just an ******* and gives the human race a bad name. He's just trying to rip somebody off. You can pay a few hundred bucks more and get a set of PI heads which will DEFINITELY give you more horsepower than '96-'98 heads.
