I think KB also says not to rev the sc past 18000 rpms. so it all depends on the blower pulley. if he makes a de-stroked motor just needs to go to a smaller pulley.

Bigger pulley. I would still contact KB and see what they say, they may just have that disclaimer there for the non built cars running it.

I never really gave it a thought to have the KB over driven. I just emailed KB to find out if I should do this or not.

I am taking my mustang to Modular depot next week to have 4.10 gears installed. How long do you think it will take them to do this? I am guesstimating about 3 hours since the a pros and they are getting the car first thing in the morning.

What is with the big dream to de-stroke your engine. Just cause its different? There is no benefit in it for your application. Just build a forged stock stroke or bigbore engine and slap the KB on.

You are right there is no real benefit for my application...there are many ways to make power and I figure why not use an unorthodox method....and really how many destroked engines do you see?

honestly if it was me and i was doing this for road racing i would swap out a 3v v6, cam and forge it then attach a vortec or turbo along with 4.10s or 4.30's and a 6 speed.
#1 unorthodox...
#2 less weight
#3 shelby used those engines to make a 3xx hp 6 cyl
#4 that along with a griggs or mm full set up... you lose quite a bit of weight from the front end of the car which is its big weakness
