You don't need the adapter plate. It bolts on just fine with the PI gaskets. Don't waste your money, bro...5 months and not even a little baby of a leak, and I've raced the engine like crazy...

Anyway, Ford brought out the SN95 it was one of the fastest mustangs produced since the 60s. It was good power and speed for those years.

4.10s would be a good start, and you don't need a headswap to make it fast. I'll bet a procharger is as cheap as a headswap.

boost > all
Dooooo what? A foxbody will walk all OVER a SN95 any day of the week. A LX 5.0 notch is capable of running a 14.0 or dammed near it with regular street tires (not D/Rs) and nothing else. Your lucky to be seeing 14s at all with a SN-95.

Why don't ya go pick up a 99 GT with a few miles on it for cheap? I saw one the other day for EIGHTY FIVE FREAKIN HUNDRED. Hell, you can get a 99 with like 40,000 on it now for under 10K.

Now im gonna go cry about my resale
Damnit. I meant fastest GT model.

and the fox LX isn't that much faster is it? mid 14s vs high 14s?
I have known several people that have said NOTCH LX will run a 14 flat. The notchbacks are super super light though. Its really easy with just a few parts and removals to get it under 3000 pounds, they supposedly only wieghed in at like 3100 or so.

My buddy had a LX hatch that ran 14.0x several times with just increasing the timing, a little different tires (not D/Rs, just changed the hieght) and that was about it. I think he had a K&N and some mufflers.

I still gotta say apples for apples a Fox GT will outrun a SN-95 4.6L. (5spd vs 5spd etc, all options the same).

You better buy some damn sticky tires now! 4.30's and nitrous=no traction till about 80mph! Be a good way to scare off all the rice though But seriously, you might want to do some kind of suspension work so you will hook on the street.

Man, I feel your pain. I picked up an 01 GT to play with I love both F-bodies and Mustangs. I have full exhaust and cai already and really cant feel much, not sure when to cut my loss. Gears should feel a little better but? Dont know where to start really. Good luck, there is never enough power. N E V E R !!

PI heads and you'll be hangin with 99+... too bad the price to do that you may as well trade in your 98 and buy a 99...

No, wih 4.30's and some bolt ons you will be hanging with/beating 99+'s (non-geared). With a PI headswap you should be roasting them....

nanaki's just lucky he's getting a blower so he doesn't have to suffer defeat!

We can all bitch and moan about how slow our cars are and how some are not. I bought my 01 GT for the heritage and for the looks. They look badass and if it was about power we all would be driving cobra's,camaro's. corvettes etc... I could have easily bought and ls1 but I have always loved the mustang name. I had a 2000 Navy Blue SS Camaro and loved it. But when I drov the mustang I loved it more not because of the power but for the looks and comfort. My stang handles way better than my ss did. But it's just my opinion!!!!!! You all bought mustangs for a reason other than power!!!! Just be happy with what you have because when you drive by someone they are wishing they had your car.. I never had compliments on my SS but almost everday someone always says nice gt or mustang!!!!

im not trying to offend anyone here im just happy regardless of the lack of power my stang has!!!!
