Default Clear up a NHRA Roll bar rule for me.

I want a removable swing out door bar roll bar cage for my Convertible but I've heard from two people now, that removable door arms aren't NHRA legal.

Also if anyone knows of a maker or retailer in Michigan post it up so I don't get butt raped on shipping.

thanks.

last time I checked, even for vert's, you only need a roll bar, I believe 4pt. for as fast as 10.00 second ET's, like the one I'm running. I don't think you need door bars, but I could be wrong

Nope it's changed for time rules and when I called NHRA they confused by telling me they don't count points anymore. Time wise if you're faster than 13.49 and a Vert you need a Roll bar with door bars. But the question is if I can get swing out door bars.

I know a lot of guys run the swing out bar at my track and its an NHRA track. So I would assume that you will have no problems with that. There is a latch system used, so be sure it comes with something more than a hole and a pin lol and you will be fine.

swing outs are nhra legal. The main hoop bar behind your seats must be welded that can not be removable. Tech the main hoop and door bars and be bolted to the floor but the rear arms whatever you want to call it must be welded. Also anywhere your head could hit must be paded
