2000 mustang GT 5-speed, 70,000 miles, intermitantly stalls at idle, as if idle set too low. sometimes fine for days then problem reappears. sometimes "fixes" itself while driving, sometimes appears after car has been running fine. sometimes remedies itself after multiple restarts, sometimes not. apparently not related to ambient or engine temperature. have tried gas from different sources, dry gas, new fuel filter.

by the way why so much miles on a 2000 gt thats not good but then you can try synthetic oil or your timing

I need to get one of those fix itself cars*L*...pull codes will help, a list of things could be wrong when was the last tune up,air filter,gas filter,pcv valve???

Agree, thats a lot of mileage for a '00. HAd the same problem and solved myself with and OBD II scanner, pulled the codes, bought a new IAC valve and installed myself--total cost $200 including the new OBD II scanner.</P>
