Window Repair documented 2000 GT
#11
I have a 2000 Mustang Gt with only 30000 miles.. About 4 months ago I was getting into my car and when I went to shut the door I heard a nose like something metal broke or fell inside..When that happened it caused my drivers window to come off trach atleast I think.. I worked on it the sameday by moving the window around then I kept trying the power window button to see if it got back on track.. Well that worked for about a day now I have been driving my car with the window up.. I seen your post today 5-31-2010 so I decided to try to work on it myself..The main thing I have noticed now is that when I push the power window to go up or down I here a clicking noise.. I have checked my fuses and cannot figure out what the problem is.. The window would move anytime I pushed the power window button but today its now doing nothing but clicking.. I thought maybe I had to readjust the window to fix my problem but now I'm not sure what to do.. If you have any ideas on how to resolve my problem I would appreciate any feedback.. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would recommend you review the write-up...
....because from the sound of your issue the window has separated from the regulator...
...there isnt actually a track to get back on so what you have done is what you have to do (and what I did) to finagle the window to the up position.
The window needs to be repaired. Bring it by...we'll fix it
Peace
