Default Triax install

Guys dont beat me up, but i got a good deal on a triax and shifter ****. It was free for x-mas. So bah on who makes it a better shifter. So i gots me a shifter, ****, gasket kit, some dynamat lying around, and am gonna hit it sat morning. But do i remove that adjustment screw or not??? i have a 99 GT vert, that is where i am at i can handle the rest.

Ps. anyone get sick of the heat comming out of the e-brake handle general area??

any and all pointers are great

Easy install. I have the same shifter and its nothing short of bad ***. i bought it used and iv beat the hell out of mine and its still workin. You have a t45 so you need to use the shift stop screws.

installing a shifter is not much harder than changing ur oil ................u can do it

get a feeler guage if you want to be REAL accurate. just put pressure on the shifter, and tighten the screw untill it has a really tiny air gap. i forget what gear you had to put it in when you were setting the screws.. i think it was 3rd and 4th, but i could be wrong. maybe someone else can chime in.

2nd gear for the rear bolt and 3rd gear for the front bolt

thanks guys it came in today, and full instructions on the screw adjustment!

well u guys were right, it was easy as all get out, and F that old stock crap!! so all is well and i am pleased! going to do 4:10's next and redo the locker and shims and bearings.

so thanks again, got her tinted as well 8% all around looks good!!

ps. there is a guy in town with an 04' cobra with the red seat inserts and the special rims.,10th edition, anyway i am gonna get hims rims, from a little research i dont see after market versions of those wheels.

what u guys think?

The shifter will feel even better after it breaks in a bit.
