Default HID problems

I got a pair of dual beam HIDs from vvme and installed them in the headlights and single beam for the fogs. They worked fine at first except the driver side fog which you would turn on it would flicker for a second and go off so i put another ballast in and it did the same thing. Well tonight i turned them on and now both fog lights do the same thing and while i was looking at them one of the headlights decided to just quit. Anyone have any ideas whats wrong?

what temperature are you running? hid bulbs take longer to reach full power and temperature, this is a common problem that happens when you turn them on and off without giving them time to warm up and cool down, and you can very easily burn the bulb or the ballast up. steve0914 i suggest you turn on the foglights first then about ten minutes later turn the lights on and when you turn them off give them about ten minutes before you turn them back on. i learned all that from my friend who thought it was cool to turn them on and off real fast til they heated up and started flickering in attempt to pull people over, but then they would just turn off like you are experiencing but then would come on after about ten minutes of letting them cool off. he recently replaced it and told me he was doing all that and they were working fine and advised me to do the same since i am in the market for an HID conversion kit, not saying thats your problem, just trying to help out.

Cool. I'm thinking about getting the Projector and 8000k HID package from Stang Mods. For some reason American Muscle tells you not to mix the two together.
