Question fuel pump question.

Hey guys this might seem like a stupid question but im looking at replacing my fuel pump and the high flow pumps seem to be a whole lot cheaper than OEM stock fuel pump.

Would there be any problem with putting a high flow pump in a car that doesnt require so much fuel?I feel like there would be excessive pressure in the fuel lines or something.

I appreciate any help and insight.

I don't think it is providing enough fuel under a load. It also doesn hold pressure so I have to prime it every time I start the car.

Buy an SVT Ford Focus Pump for about $100.00. Drops right in and flows 255lph.

thanks guys. If I look up an svt focus pump what year should I look up? I'm pretty strapped for cash though, I saw a couple things on ebay for around 40 bucks with a warranty.

make sure you buy the right one. It has to be the SVT focus pumps I doubt you are seeing the right one for $40.00 unless it is a really good deal. I don't know the part number but the top of the pump is green plastic.
