Default 5.4L Swap

i'm thinking about swapping a 5.4L engine into my 1999 gt and was wondering what transmission you guys would recommend for just street driving and the occasional run @ willow springs raceway. also since i live in california do you think i would have a major issue passing smog?

basically i saw the swap and instantly fell in love with it.

The transmission from your gt now should bolt up fine, unless your building the 5.4 then it might make too much hp for yours now.

Some people use the stock plastic 5.4 truck intake which is ridiculously huge. I used a modified lightning intake to clear a stock hood.

I'm already trying to convince myself not to buy 4v heads... The swap is fairly easy and not very time consuming. Don't expect it too be some sort of monster but it's a cool learning experience and gives you the chance to do something different.

yeah im not trying to be some crazy monster on the street. basically i just want something different around my city to set me apart from other gt. and i figured it be easier to get my goal of 300-350rwhp
