Help with my hood, not just shaking
I understand that Mustang hoods are normally meant to have some play to them, but i think i need some type of fix for it. Its a 2000 that had a 2003 style hood put on by its previous owner. The hood can actually be pushed down by hand when its closed about half inch down(estimate) from the front left or a little less from the front right of the hood. I have played with the hood stops and can't seem to get a good fix for this. Even with the hood stops raised very high they still move down, and this also creates extra shaking with the hood while im driving, because my hood has ALOT of play in it during normal driving speeds. Does anyone have any ideas on what i should do?

Is there just a gap between your hood and the stops, or does the hood sit higher than the fenders when closed?
Look around at the latch you might be able to bring it down a little or bring the latching arm down a little. It doesnt seem right that 1. your hood has that much play in it, and 2. your hood has different gaps on the two sides. The only time i can think of ive ever seen that the frame was bent slightly causeing the gaps.

No, i don't think there is a gap between the stops and hood. When looking at the closed hood from in front of the car, if you press your left hand down on the hood closest to the headlight, it can just be pressed down. The hood will appear to be at the right height with the stops lowered, but it still moves down. Its hard to tell whats going on since i can't see under the hood while its closed.
