I have not seen a T-3650 trans appart, but my Vega trans lost first gear when I dumped the clutch back in th' day. I pulled it apart and the gear was in two pieces and laying on the bottom of the pan. I just purchased a new trans and with 100K miles, you will probably be best served to do the same.

Take it to your local mechanic familiar with your trans and see if it is worth rebuilding.

HTH... not hurts

Either the shift fork, and or the synchronizers are out.

Most likely it won't be worth rebuilding. If you got your car for a really good deal because of that problem, just spend like a grand and get a rebuilt 3650 and you will have a perfectly working car

Default 3650 Problems solved

You probably have a bent or broken shift fork. This is very common and can be fixed with either a stock rebuild, or better yet, an upgrade. We can build your transmission to take more abuse, or simply provide parts and tech to get you back on the road. Let me know if I can help. Gray@AP
