Default Throw out Bearing (plastic re design)

I was helping my buddy (Doughboy4.6) yesterday put in his T56 and he decided to change his worn TOB. When we went to Autoz-Hoes we were given a Timken tob that was made almost entirely out of plastic except the front drive face. I've always trusted Timken and has never had a problem with them and I don't know many people who have.

Has anyone used Timkens new designed TOB? If so, what do you think of them? Thanks.

I don't have any experience with the Timken but it cannot be any worse than the stock Ford crap. I'm on my second TOB and I've only had the car for 10k miles. The second one started making noise about a week after it was installed.

Do you have an aftermarket quadrant/firewall adjuster?? I have had zero problems with FRPP T/O bearing

Hit up my T-3650~T-56 swap thread Lizzyfan was kink enough to "sticky". You will see a small vid I made of the magnet I use to pull the TOB off of the pressure plate. The stock bearing is meant to continuously spin, but am old skool and think this is a BAAAAAADDDD design.

I didn't describe how I did it, but pretty simple and should help the TOB last for many, many years.
