theres a hanging rpm fix in the stickies, read the stickies, the whistle is normally, they all do that with aftermarket ones, but i dont know why the idle would be so much higher, unless the computer wasnt reset.

You didn't say what year your car was, but the higher idle can be a couple things depending on the year of the car.

If it's a 96-97, I think the TPS sensors could be adjusted in those years, not sure about the 98.

I know the 2000+ zero out the TPS sensor every startup, so if it's a 2000+, you may need to reset the computer, and let it relearn due to the additional airflow

Did you get a CEL? I broke my TPS when I changed my TB and did the same as yours, idled high and hanging rpms. All aftermarket TBs tend to whistle my accufab TB only does it when 10%-15% or so on the throttle.

The best way to set idle after a TB install is to unplug the IAC and set the set screw on the TB until the car idles 100rpms below where you want it to idle. Then plug the IAC back in.
