Default Engine removal/installation help

I have a new 4.6 to swap in to my car, but I wanted to get any tips or tricks anyone has for engine removal and installation. Which accessories around the motor should come out? And what is the best way to hook the engine up to a hoist? When i took it out of the bed of my truck I had chains on the exhaust manifolds, but I think the clearance between the strut towers may be too tight.

I don't know any tips and real tricks, but the best way to hoist the engine IMO is to take off the intake manifold and use the 4 bolts at the top of what would be the oil valley.

there really arent any tips. im pretty sure you can pull the motor will all of the accessories on it. (as long as they are disconnected)

ford makes a special little engine jacking plate for removing the engine, but im sure you could do it another way.

what all do you need to know about engine removal?

I'm talking more about the accessories around the engine. Am I going to need to pull any of these to fit the engine through: master cylinder, fan/radiator and that Bosch thing on the passenger side near the bottom of the radiator. I just need to know what I should have out of the way before I start.

I took some picks but photobucket isn't liking my iPhone right now, but it must be the brake booster.

im pretty sure that that is the evaporator core. someone correct me if im wrong.

there should be a metal tube that you need to disconnect. before this can be done, there is a safety clip that has to be removed.

btw...new motor looks good!!

if ur takin the tranny out with it, your gonna want to take out the coolent reserve and possibly ur radiator and fan. out here should be some holes on top of the the heads that you can put a bolt through a chain and ratchet it into.

oh and remove your hood to make a WORLD of difference!

and that thing you show is ur abs module, you shouldn't have to take it out if u separate the the tranny and motor.

since its the same engine, just take a weekand, (maybe a whole day if your good) and it should be as easy as pie
