How do I remove the interior door panel on a '99 GT?

I screwed up my damn window tint because of the felt strip and I want to take it off so when the replacement arrives so I can try again.

you have to remove the trim piece that holds the switches; it snaps in and out but be careful, the little tabs break easily.

behind the trim you should see a couple screws, remove those. also, there's a plastic push pin down by the speaker on the outside edge that you have to remove. you might want to pull the tweeter cover off too.

now grasp the panel at the bottom and sort of pull down then out slighty. after the bottom is free, you should be able to lift it up and off

that felt weather stripping does not come off with the panel, i was going to do the same thing but gave up once i got the panel off. it looked like a pita to get off

Are you talking about the inner or outer felt wipe. The inner one is attached to the door panel on my 02GT. I just had it off and replaced the outer one because it was scratching the glass on the outside of the car!? The outer one is attached to the door (1 rivet) and is about $35 or so from Ford. I would have to look at a door panel again to see if the inner was replaceable and how it was attached, but I would think both would be replaceable, not just the outer. Who knows, Ford may want you to buy the entire panel though!!!
