Default Transgo Shift Kit Advice

Im getting ready to buy a Trans-go shift kit but have been a little nervous to install it myself. Ive installed them on old 350 turbo chevy but im nervous to pull the valve body off the 4r70W for some reason. Any tips? Also anyone have one installed, if so do you like it?

the instructions are very detailed and hard to screw up. just be careful of the plastic connector you have to disconnect before your remove the valvebody. it is very brittle and hard to disconnect/connect. lay out a couple of white trashbags to put everything down on, no shop rags and no fender covers. i would also suggest wearing some latex gloves. i got the manual reprograming kit i will be installing this week for my 4r70w swap so hopefully all goes well.

i chose the transgo kit because im swapping in a 4r70w and the kit i bought allows me to do this without swapping in a pcm/wiring harness (full manual control). a normal shift kit is still better in my opinion because it will raise line pressure in some cases and comes with upgraded valves. it also allows you to lock in the gears.

actually that info is worth quite alot to me
does the kit have everything included to do jmod(both seperator gaskets, pan gasket and pan filter)along with the kit itself? this is a long shot, but how about the decimal bits? are you able to setup the hp level like the jmod?
a link to this particular kit would be most appreciated

it comes with everything you mentioned except the filter, yes you can set up the horsepower levels and i believe there are only 2 kits for the 4r70w (one being the manual shift kit you probably don't want that). i bought mine off ebay but have always been referred to alan a dirty dog performance.

i believe this is it http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
for 90 bucks. but hell im already at 50 just for the plate gaskets and pan gasket from ford. i think im gonna return em and go this route. for 40 more i'd get the springs and everything, not to mention theres only 1 set of instructions. with the j mod theres like 15+ websites and each one is a little different lol
thanks for helping me out man, appreciated
