I'm so confused with all of this. I really hope yall can help me figure this out. I counted my vavle cover bolts I have 11. I was told from that I should have a Windsor. I had my vin ran it came back windsor . So I assumed and so did everyone else that means I have an 8 bolt flywheel. Well we took out the flywheel and its a 6 bolt Help ! Please.

What's hard to understand? Something happened to the stock motor and they replaced it with a Romeo. It doesn't change anything, if you're rebuilding it, then you're still using the same internals, timing, head gaskets, Everything except maybe the flywheel & clutch. So, what's the problem?

I understand the whole Romeo & Windsor thing . What I'm confused about is with my car. I have been told that if the 8th digit in the vin is "X" your motor is a Windsor. And if you have 11 valve cover bolts your motor is Windsor. They told me I should have an 8 bolt flywheel then, Well we dropped the tranny and took everything apart and it's a 6 bolt flywheel. That why I'm confused. I've been told by the dealer that based on my VIN I should have an 8 bolt flywheel and I dont.

my engine is a windsor block with romeo heads and it works fine. The windsor blocks are stronger. There is also a service hole in the romeo blocks for the transmission. The windsor blocks dont have that they are just solid right there
