Default Rear Gears for a KB setup

I have come to somewhat of a crossroads with what size gears to go with on my KB 2.6 setup. The thing is, I currently have 4.10's in the car and with my 305/35/18 nitto Drag radials on the street along with my suspension upgrades I am not blowing the the tires off it actually is gripping and ripping quite nice. I have a set of 3.55's sitting in my garage and I want to make sure that I am putting the right size gear in the car for optimum performance. My use of the car in performance aspects is almost strictly strip (which I run ET streets which provide even more traction than my DR's). I dont do highway roll races or much street racing of any sort. So I just wanted to get some info from you guys on experience with either size gear on a KB setup. Is the reason most people dont go with 4.10's on a KB setup mainly because of traction or are there other factors?

the 4.10s wont do much justice for u with the kb because they build boost from the 1000 rpms. with the centrifical superchargers 4.10s are needed to launch hard to get the rpms up. off the line u should have boost so the 3.55s would be perfect for ur car. imo.

I would say 3.55s but it is a track car then 3.73s would be better!

go to the 3.55. i have 3.90 and cant stand them with the KB. the gears are way too short. let me know how the 3.55 do. i am debating on either going to them or going back to the 3.27(stockers).

Well I just swapped from 4.10 down to 3.55 in with my 5.4 setup... I'm even running a vortech. I'm very glad I did, I spend longer time in boost and the car is much more enjoyable to drive with the taller gear.

In your situation, like someone else mentioned you don't have the need to spin the blower up like the centrifugal so I would definitely get after those 3.55s.
