Question How much boost is to much ?

Ok i called summit today to ask about an upgrade pulley for my supercharger Paxton 1000 i dnt have an intercooler and they said that 12lb of boost would b dangerous 4 my daily driver. My setup i ordered the 900series from mmr .20over i have pi heads that were p&p stage 2 spring kit from trickflow with larger valves, and crower stg 2 supercharger cams 39lb injectors. Mmr told me that my compression should b 9.1 now i want to make some where around 5 to 600whp so im thinking on getting 10 to 12lb pulley will it b safe to do so ?

also for my head gasket i ordered the Ford racing head changing kit from summit that comes with head bolts will those b good or should i play it safe with Arp.

with a built shortblock a 12lb pulley will be fine. You are gonna need bigger injectors though.

12lbs will be nothing on that block. You must get the arp head studs if you are planning on running over 10 lbs. I am running 18 lbs and made 550rwhp before we turned on the meth and retuned it.

Why are head studs needed? I was just going to use the ford racing head bolts that come in the kits, uh oh...

TTY bolts stretch and with high boost causes them to stretch more and blow the head gasket.

Not the jack the thread but it looks like you got an answer thats legit. My tuner has my set up @ 13lbs at 65000rpm because of the d1 blower. He said it shouldn't hurt anything. The a/f ratio is spot on also. It's safe right?
