Has anyone else done the P I headswap on a 96-98 block with any PTV issues using aftermarket cams, like the 262's ??

Why not just got a tad more radical than the stock cam? Might not gain as much, but you'll get an ok amount

You staying with the high compression? Or did you work the combustion chambers or go with dished pistons?

you will experience ptv issues using just about any stage 2 cam on a pi swap. you can fix the issue by buying new valves from manley that are actually thinner and have diiferent taper on the backside of them. or you can do some machining of your current valves. I just did stage 2 Hitech cams and new valves on my sons 98 using a set of 02 heads. no issues at all.

I finished my pi swap today with no ptv problems. Im running 270 comp cams with .550 lift.. I got a great deal on them or I would have went with cushman cams though.. JIM AT CUSHMAN MOTORSPORTS IS AWESOME!!!!

Maybe getting it dyno tune this week. The PI swap hurt the wallet a little bit. But will get some numbers up as soon as I get it done.

When mine was done I had 17cc dished pistons thrown in cause I figured Id supercharge it later. Well never got around to it. So it was a stock PI swap with 8.8:1 compression and I put down 255/295. Had I left the pistons alone I'm sure I wouldve been over 270

I have never seen anyone put down 270 from a PI swap.
