Default coilover issues - help appreciated

So i've noticed, after finally getting my new A-arms on, that the springs rub up against the strut tower... and when i turn the wheel, the spring hits the outboard side of the strut tower - when the wheels are turned toward that outboard side. like if i turn wheel to left, driver side coil presses outboard.

still having issues with ride quality too. 14" spring x 225lbs. thinking of 14" x 175lbs. not sure if a smaller 12" spring would have any effect, other than being 2 inches shorter? if anyone has info on spring rates vs spring size lemme know.

think my next step is to look at new caster camber plates, as the ones i have are crap. thinkin Maximum Motorsports or MMR on this one...

just wondering if anyone else out there that has coilovers has issues like this? or had issues like this and happend to resolve them?

car is mostly driveable, but loud, annoying, and feels like its about to break over every bump.
