How long does a supercharged engine last on average?

ive seen properly tuned cars run 450rwhp for well over a year with no problems before they wanted more and forged. but ive also seen poorly tuned cars blow at 360rwhp. the tune will make or break your car if you drive it hard. typically the rule is anything over 420 is a ticking time bomb.

Where are you located?
I'm in Southern California, I got my Vortech tuned by Greg at RET in Downey, CA. He did a wonderful job, plus he spent probably about 30 mins answering all my questions about the tune and the supercharger.
I did the install myself, so he even looked over everything before he strapped it down to the dyno.
The tune is important, but also using your head is important. I've only had my supercharger on for 6 months, but this entire time has been problem free. Only oil changes and gas for me. (However, now I'm noticing it's time for a new set of rear tires)

I was around 400 rwhp with my blower with stock internals the problem for me was I love to rev her up to 6,000 rpms especially with 4.10 gears and boost. Our stock pistons don't like high revs consistly and I cracked my piston after 3 months and 3,000 miles.
My recommendation would be to go with only 8 psi and keep less than 360 rwhp with a good tune. But once you start seriously modding things tend to break If you have the extra money I would forge it first then you can run more psi.

Um, I'm at 54,000 miles on my engine at 12+PSI.
Before that, there are probably around 40,000 miles on the engine before the original owner wanted more.
So, around 90,000 miles without any single problem. It still starts up any day without problem and will give me plenty of reliable use.
