my guess is that something with the chip you have is causing the malfunction. The cause for the bucking is the amount of airflow paired with the amount of exhaust gas recirculating back in. My problem was reduced majorly (but not completely) by a custom dyno tune. My advice to would be to ditch the chip if it really bothers you that much, otherwise you should get a custom dyno tune to match you cars configuration, although with only having flowmasters done, you arent going to really gain a huge power bonus with the tune. maybe if you reconnect your EGR then remove the chip and see how that goes.
