Question Why So Much Boost?

I am supposed to have the 10psi pulley from kenne bell but at wot i see 13psi. this has been since i installed it last year but since i recently had it tuned my tuner suggested to pulley down. im not complaining by any means but just curious what would be the cause of higher psi on a 10psi pulley, and yes i measured it to make sure it is a 10psi. so if i actually put the 14psi pulley on their i could see 17psi?

Boost is a byproduct of airway constriction. If your intake system and such isn't perfectly efficient, you will have more pressure, ie more boost.

This is why when you have added full exhaust, cams, heads, intake, boost pressure will go down while keeping everything else the same

Their test car was a 02 gt, thats what the tuner recommended cause of the crappy bottom end but i think 10psi is just fine, but i am gaining 3psi more for some reason.

do you WANT 10psi???? the easiest way to get it is to swap pulleys to a larger pulley, of you want to drop the boost in a different way... Port your heads, install some cams, headers etc. it'll drop it to 10psi... actually give you some more power too

all that? 4k
new pulley? $80
