Default turbo kit

I was looking at this turbo kit for my 03gt and was wondering how good it is? I know I've heard that turbo kits can be unreliable for daily driving but what if I keep it to just 400rwhp? Shouldn't I be safe then? I'm not chasing numbers but around 400rwhp like maybe 390ish. Tell me what you guys think.

Junk, dont buy. CHEAP wastegate and turbo is all i have to say. Might work for a month untill the wastegate gets stuck and blows your engine up. The turbo is junk, be prepaird for the seal to blow in less then a month and your engine sucking in oil.

they offer a masterpower turbo upgrade. blow off valves can be bought seperately pretty cheap these days.

my only issue i would think is the piping. looks good, but there's places it looks like it would be hell. turbo looks like its against the radiator, radiator tube is against the filter (easily solved with a smaller filter?) at the very least i can say thier welds look decent enough, but a good looking weld does not necessarily mean a good functioning one...

the single down pipe would ruin my future plans for a Max. Motorsports Torque Arm

I dont see the problem being either the turbo or waste gate. From what i have read over the e-net, the main issue is the pipeing. They say that due to the fact that the pipe is made over seas and uses a lower grade steel ect.. that it is more prone to cracking. especially the headers. There are many threads about this system, especially over at the turbo forums. Some ppl already have it and say it is great and others bash the hell out of it saying its junk. I dont think it is that bad though. i mean, for less than 2 grand you can turbo the car and if it fails in 1-2 years, oh well. you only paid 2 grand for it....

talk is cheap on the internet, the piping is the big deal, you can upgrade the turbo and the wastegate and BOV for cheap, so if that is your gripe then your blowing smoke.

I have also seen Mixed reviews. But if the Piping is the only problem.. Buy the Kit drop the Piping off at a Shop and have them Bend you some Good Pipes Exactly Like theirs... Better steel, Same Bends so you know it will work??? (Couldnt cost tooooo Much). The BIG Prices you pay for the Big Name TUrbo Kits, your paying for the name and the Pre Fab work..

Or Get the Piping Copied, Buy a New Turbo, Wastegate. Sell the ebay kit on the Forums?? (or just the piping.. they can Prolly get you for something like stealing their idea lol)

I know this still puts you under what some other kits would cost, but it also mentions that you need a MAF kit and a tubular K to install this, and they do not come with the kit. The two K members they've test fitted are the GMS and the QA1 kits, so you'll be spending over a grand on the QA1. So upgrade the turbo, the wastegate, have a shop make new piping, buy a k member, etc..... In my opinion, at that point you might as well just buy a Hellion kit.

personally i would just go with a brand name that is proven, that way you dont have to worry about anything because its been proven to work well.
