Default gaskets for mid pipe install...

Just curious wich gaskets I need to replace when changing my mid pipe. Do all four of the connections have gaskets? Is it okay to reuse them? If not can I just pick up new ones at a parts store like a felpro brand or are they inferior to the Ford parts? The reason I ask is I have had header gaskets from felpro on a car before after changing a header that would leak bad and still require replacement with the oem part. thanks for any help!

Where the header and mid pipe connect (passenger side), is where there is a gasket.

As mentioned above, the passenger side has a gasket where it meets the header. Get the metal one from the Ford house. I believe some midpipes might come with a super cheapo one of some sort that you probably don't want to use.

That's what I thought too, I know my '99 had a gasket, and I had one replaced.

However, we just finished the midpipe/catback install on a friends '03 tonight and there was no gasket on the manifold/midpipe connections.

So, we didn't put one back on either. No leak that I could tell.

(ps. the autozone bitch pissed me off because I told her the one she showed me was NOT the right one, and whaddayathink happened? it wasnt the right one, NO **** BITCH!)

Is the metal one reusable or do you still have to replace it each time as well???
