stall converter
i have a 3000 stall in my car and can only hold the back tires to 1800 rpm before they start to spin. is this right? to me i thought i should be able to hold to about 2500? i know just because its a 3k stall doesnt mean u get a full 3k stall. i just thought i should have more than 1800. its a b&m holeshot 3000 torque converter.

Something doesn't sound right to me either. Did you try calling B&M? I was thinking that it might have something to do with the 4.10s. By the way, Bayside mustangs meet at the kmart in by the green turtle in Annapolis on Thursday nights, right?
Oh yea, I have you seen this from TCI? http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Ford/AOD/rp-02-06.pdf
If you have the torque converter already installed, the shift kit might be of benefit to your times....This is the next mod I do if I decide to keep my stang.

I have heard good and bad things about jpc. I spin b/t 1600-1700 stock, so I would think it would be a lot higher. I would call JPC again and see what they say. Also, ask them exactly what all they did other than install the TC and mess with the flexplate.

All JCP had to do was drill out the bolt holes on the flywheel so that the studs on the torque converter would fit. I don't see how that would mess with the torque convert. Better calling B&M first.
The only complaint that I have heard from JCP is their prices.
